I acquired this razor from ebay over a year ago. I wanted a really old razor and this one just called to me. It is a John Barber. About a 11/16, looks like a mason/type tang stamp. Lightly rusted.
I am finally getting around to working on it. This is the one that is the ‘67 camaro under the tarp in the garage.’ I will get it to pristine immaculate condition. One day. In the future.
No idea on scales or finish, but it will probably be a satin finish with some bone or horn scales. This one is mine all mine and will add to those I consider to be ‘part of the collection.’

Nice! How’s the restoration coming?
My John Barber is among my favorite razors. It’s so cool shaving with a piece of history, know the razor is almost 200 years old!

Not bad. Working on it a bit more. Still don’t know what I am going to do about scales. I will put some more effort into it this week.
